Recording heavily distorted electric guitar sounds can be a real challenge for any aspiring metalhead.
There are a lot of complex harmonics and overtones to deal with in a heavy metal mix. They can be difficult to wrangle even for experienced engineers.
I recently found a trick using the @wampler_pedals Ego 76 that gives me super polished, pro-level sounding distorted guitars with less than half the effort I have come accustomed to.
