Mark Holcomb (Periphery, Haunted Shores)

Doc welcomes Periphery guitarist, Mark Holcomb, to the show and they talk about his early days with Haunted Shores in the DC area, how he ended up joining Periphery, what it was like fitting in with a band that already had an established sound, what he thinks makes the Djent scene special, how Periphery evolved as a live band throughout the years, how Steph Carpenter inspired the Clear EP concept, his thoughts on lead and rhythm guitar technique, his response to Misha's comments about not being able to make a living from the band and thoughts about surviving in the music business, getting sober and using discipline and mindfulness to help with productivity and creativity during the pandemic, working with Devin Townsend on the Haunted Shores EP, and the two chat about the NBA bubble basketball and forthcoming season.
